The Cheval d'Orient collection pays homage to Hermès' equestrian origins and, drawing inspiration from 15th and 16th century Persian miniatures, evokes the caravans of the Silk Road and the conviviality of the East. It is the result of an extraordinary technical feat: the use of 29 colors on each of the different decorations that adorn the 55 references imagined for lunch, dinner, tea/coffee and decorative objects. Cheval d'Orient revisits the shapes and dimensions of the great classics of the Western table, such as the cup on a pedestal or the tureen with elegant open handles.
